Spent forever going to school in a field that I hated (Civil Engineering). Finally after about 5 years, I said screw this, and decided to take some time off from school. I moved to Montana and spent a couple a years hiking around in the mountains, and finally decided to become a Geologist. I spent the past year and a half working on my undergrad in Geology (had to basically start over again). Got to spend 11 weeks in the field this summer working on field camp, and my senior thesis, so that was great, re-affirmed my love for Geology. I will finish my undergrad in May, then I am off to Graduate School, which could be a variety of places (MA, MN, AZ, ID, MT).
I spent a lot of time traveling all over the Northwest in the past few years, spent most of my time in Montana, but have also spent quite a bit of time in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alberta. I love to travel, and I am really excited about where my graduate research could take me (Sardinia, Australia, New Zealand, the Urals (Russia), BC Coast Range, North Central Canada, Turkey).
